I could not have known that I would fall so hard so in love
I could not have known that all it would take is your touch,
I remember your eyes looking into mine
and you told me not to - not to waste my time
but you wasted your time on me
and you let me see all the things I wanted to see

All it took was the touch of your embrace
 to show me how much I wanted to be in love once again
yet I knew too soon the pain that would take it's place
 take up yet another space in a heart meant to break
so I save it for myself
and let it be heard
